There are many attractions and things to do on the Bellarine Peninsula. The area is made up of a number of coastal townships:- Portarlington,
Indented Heads, St Leonards, Drysdale, Queenscliff, Pt Lonsdale, Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads.
These townships encompass a diversity of rural properties which range from sheep and cattle grazing to some of Victoria's best wineries, olive groves
and aquaculture.
Recreational activities play a key role in the success of the Bellarine Peninsula. The large surround of water from Port Phillip Bay provides safe,
sheltered beaches for young swimmers and many water activities like windsurfing and skiing. If fishing is your forte then we have many piers and jetties where you can throw in a line. Cast
off your boat from one of many boat ramps around the peninsula giving you access to all points of the bay.
Inland there are plenty of golf courses, tennis courts, an aquatic centre and walking trails to keep you fit. A miniature railway only minutes walk from PelicanSands
Bed and Breakfast, operates over the school holidays and many weekends during the year offering children alike a scenic journey around the local park. For the more serious train buff, the
Bellarine Railway Society runs a steam train regularly between Queenscliff and Drysdale.
During your stay with us you might like to check out our local art galleries, craft markets or visit some of our attractions and townships.
We can help you trace the maritime history of the Bellarine Peninsula, its early settlement, fortifications and folklore.
